Sam Hodge (HCMC) was hired by Cura Group, FL as a Consultant from December 2022 to July 2025 to oversee a major exterior façade remediation project Cura had with Las Olas River House Condominium Association (LORH), as the Construction Manager. Sam’s knowledge of Construction Agreements was of great benefit in separating multiple LORH projects that Cura had under an earlier Agreement, into two (2) AIA - C132cm Agreements. Similarly with the contractor (Valcourt), he set up a series of Processes to aid in clarification of work performed, quantities, locations and tied them to Valcourt’s Fieldwide Software for Cura to verify, when needed, i.e., Pay Applications. These ‘Processes’ became the ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ for dealing with the various unique requirements of this type of project. Sam’s experience with various Construction Software programs also aided Cura to set up Procore as the company’s main Construction Management Software. Sam’s management style helped to develop a sense of partnership between the Client, Contractor, Engineer, and Cura...while maintaining Cura’s fiduciary responsibilities with the Client (LORH). Sam would be an asset if put in-charge of any Project or as the Construction Manager/Owners Rep for any Client.

"During my career, I have held various positions in construction management from Project Engineer to Project Manager to Project Director and back to Project Engineer. During these sessions Sam’s professional behavior, attention to detail while keeping the essence of the problem well in sight, and maintaining a firm but fair attitude, commanded the respect of the participants and a willingness to resolve the issue at hand. "Sam joined our team at The Boca Raton as Senior Director of Construction in September 2020. His purview was oversight of the two general contractors engaged in the major renovation of the almost 100-year-old Resort. Sam has reported to Northview’s VP Design & Construction and directly to me. Sam is currently overseeing RCC Construction who are building one of the Resort’s restaurants, and Moss Construction who have the task of renovating all the major areas of the historic core building, plus the construction of a major water park on a four plus acre site that is part of the Resort. Sam is responsible for overseeing over $100m of complicated construction projects with many moving parts, and a tight timeframe. The drawings for these projects are evolving along with the projects, due to the compressed timeline, and the resulting complications are exacerbated by issues relating to Covid and its effect on supply chains. Sam has proven himself to be a skilled Senior Project Executive/Manager and Owner’s Representative. He is extremely knowledgeable and understands (and can improve on proposed) means and methods, interpretation of drawings, scheduling and organization strategy. His direct oversight of our GCs has resulted in finding efficiencies that were not obvious, better scheduling (through better sequencing to save time and money), and a focus on the change-order and pay app process, which has resulted in cost savings and clawbacks from the GCs. Sam has a great personality and has been a pleasure to have on our team. Bringing Sam on board was one of the better decisions I have personally made for the Project."

"I worked with Sam Hodge on the Borgata Casino project from design development, contract documentation and construction in Atlantic City, NJ during 2000 through 2002. When this joint venture of Boyd Gaming and MGM/Mirage is complete the cost of the project will exceed one billion dollars. Sam was primarily involved in the Low Rise & Parking Structure areas of the work as the project’s Senior Project Manager. His many duties included the casino gaming floor, multiple restaurants, a nightclub, theater, ball room, numerous bars & lounges, and the related back of house service facilities as well as the 4000 car parking structure.
